About the Hunt Provider:

The hunt provider has a 200 acre (about 1/3 mile by 1/3 parcel of private land with additional blocked public land with trespass through the private ranch to national forest.  Besides elk and mule deer there are black bear in the area.  This valley holds lots of elk and you can get near the top via ATV from the ranch.  Terrain is not easy to get to by other public hunters and why the elk like it.  This is not a "walk in the park" hunt and can be physical.  You can bring your own ATV or the guide will take you up each day to the national forest and hunt from there.  After a short hike the trees open up to dark timber and aspen mix.  Ranch house lodging with bathroom, shower and able to use the kitchen for cooking your food.  Game pole and cooler available.

Western Colorado, GMU421. The closest town is Grand Junction with other small towns in the area.

Species & Recommended Seasons:

Elk, mule deer and black bear any season.

Licenses:

Archery, muzzleloader, 1st and 4th rifle for bull and cow elk tags are a draw.  2nd and 3rd rifle elk licenses over the counter.

Mule Deer all licenses a draw.

License and Voucher Watchdog will get you the licenses you need.

Drive to property. Recommend ATVs for getting to/from lodging to edge of public land. Horses ok too.

Ranch house lodging included, meals on your own for 2 min to 4 max hunters archery $2395/person, rifle $2895/person.
