About the Hunt Provider:
This hunt provider is a family business that has about a 60% return client rate. Their family has been hunting here since the late 1980’s. They also offer European Mounts and service many processing plants and other outfitters in the area for their European mount needs. They will ensure all European Mounts be ready and prepared to ship within the time of harvest and departure.
In addition to excellent resident elk, mule deer and antelope herds, hunting pressure on nearby public land causes more game to migrate onto their private properties. The terrain varies from dark timber, aspens, rolling sage hills, hay fields, river bottoms, ponds, open meadows, dense oak brush, pinon, juniper and cedar trees.
Guided hunts are out of trucks and spot and stock style and customized to your ability and preference. Lodging may or may not be included, see pricing details, but if you are staying off site guides will pick you up daily. Hunting elevation ranges from 6500’ to 8000’.
Elk:
Northwest Colorado is famous for one of the largest herds of elk in North America. All our elk hunts are fair chase only. The elk hunting areas are deep in the timber to private land covering approximately 20,000 acres private land. They try to provide you with superb big game hunting opportunities.

Hunt Type(s):
Guided and DIY on thousands of acres private land with most properties backing up to difficult to access public land by other hunters.
Species & Recommended Seasons:
Any Fall seasons for elk, mule deer, antelope and black bear. Merriam turkey in the spring and mountain lion from December to March.
Licenses:
- Archery elk draw with zero points needed
- 1st rifle elk a draw and no points needed
- 2nd & 3rd rifle elk licenses over the counter.
- 4th rifle elk a draw and no points needed.
- Bear tags a draw but no points needed for unit 42.
License and Voucher Watchdog will get you the licenses you need.
Party Size:
1 or more guided, DIY minimum 2 archery and 4 rifle.
Mode of Travel:
Vehicle, ATV and foot.
Animal Quality:
Most bull elk taken are typically 4x4 or better and generally in the 5x5 to 6x6 point range scoring from 250-300” with some over 300”.
Success Rate:
Guided archery elk 60-90% shot opportunity, rifle elk 75%.
Hunt Difficulty:
Low impact (meaning easier hiking) to difficult depending on hunt type. Hunts are tailored to your ability.

Guided archer/muzzleloader/rifle elk 5 days no meals/lodging $5500/person
Guided archery elk 5 days with cabin and meals $6500/person.
Guided rifle elk 5 days with cabin and meals $7000/person.
Black Bear
Add-on to a guided elk or mule deer hunt $500.
Non-hunting guest depends on availability $150/day meals/lodging.
Extra days not available for guided hunts.
