Idaho Big Game hunting sits at the top of some of the best hunting there is out there. This hunt provider prides itself on being “Idaho’s Premiere Big Game Hunting Outfit.” They have so much more to offer than your typical Idaho outfitter. Their vast amount of permitting allows them to conduct some of the best big game hunts in Idaho.  The remoteness of the wilderness and backcountry are some of the most untapped area within Idaho. They are excited to share in your experience of this truly breathtaking area and certainly proud to offer outdoor adventures unlike anything else you may find in the Idaho outfitting industry.  Located near the Idaho/Montana border within a short drive from Missoula International Airport (MSO).

Their base camp is remote and very peaceful that offers a nice mix of rustic cabins and well-kept wall tents, all of which have great heating sources to ensure you are sleeping comfortably each night. The main base camp uniquely balances the modern amenities of today while providing the experience of a backcountry adventure. The relaxing backcountry camp is accessible by vehicle and includes: canvas wall tents with wood stoves, hardwood floors, twin beds, electricity including lights and power outlets in each tent (when the generator is running), unlimited hot water shower cabin, cook & dining cabin, multiple outhouses, campfire, and multiple other camps throughout our permitted areas that are accessible by either vehicle or horseback. These camps include canvas wall tents, cots, foam pads, lanterns, wood stoves, kitchen tent, outhouse, shower tent, etc.

Elk & Mule Deer

Hunting Rocky Mountain Elk and mule deer is a deep-seated passion amongst many, and for many more a bucket list trophy hunt. Hunting takes place from 2900 to 7000 feet elevation.  Note** Even though they scout year round for your hunt, and have some of the most experienced guides Idaho has to offer, a lot of your success depends on your ability to be mobile, and for Mother Nature to provide you with good weather. They do their absolute best to give you the highest opportunity to harvest an elk of your dreams.

Whitetail

Like our mule deer, the whitetail in our area are known for their exceptional body size, their heavy antlers, and tall tines! Most hunters are amazed with how many whitetail we have in our area. North Central Idaho has produced some absolutely giant whitetails and is a great place to find that one-of-a-kind Idaho whitetail buck. We have options to hunt whitetail before the rut, and of course during the rut — when the fun is to be had!

Black Bear

Our high opportunity trophy Spring and Fall black bear hunts are over a plethora of active baits with hunting occurring in the afternoon and evenings on a normal day. Tags are over-the-counter paired with our 5 day hunts with potential to extend if desired. Close to 50% of the bear population in our area tend to be color phase varying from Chocolate, Cinnamon (Red), Blonde, and sometimes a mix of multiple colors is seen as well!!! We are not a large outfit that seeks to over hunt and over book, we like to keep our camps small to ensure a quality experiences, and a quality hunt. Our area is a two-bear area meaning every hunter within our camp has the option to purchase a second tag during, or even before their hunt. After the first successful harvest, hunters can decide on whether or not they’d like to continue hunting a second bear.

We offer another form of highly successful Spring and Fall black bear hunting, WHICH IS pursuing bears with our highly trained pack of hounds. Ensure you get your adrenaline rush and hear the dogs baying up a bear in a creek or alerting you that they have caught a bear high up in a pine tree! We offered this hunting method to a select few in spring of 2024 and when deploying our trained hounds we experienced very high success — hunter’s loved it! This hunt isn’t a walk in the park, it will require lengths of strenuous activity, but nothing a positive mindset, and a will to hunt a trophy black bear can’t solve!

Wolf

Recently Idaho State Legislators have allowed for a considerable opening of world hunting opportunities in the area through the use of “expanded hunting methods”. It is strongly encouraged that hunters purchase a wolf tag for every hunt provided just in case the opportunity presents itself. Dedicated wolf hunts take place from November – December primarily using 4×4 vehicles and snowmobiles. Hunts will take place solely on National Forest grounds, deep in the backcountry of Idaho. There is no limit on wolves you may harvest, you may not take more wolves than the number of legal tags you possess.  The season starts November 1st and runs through the end of December. We like hunting wolves when snow hits the ground, which allows us to pattern wolf packs in our area to better provide a successful hunt. The objective is to locate packs of wolves and stay downwind of them while calling. Another successful method is to locate wolf kills and areas they like to frequent to increase the chances of a shot opportunity for hunters. There is nothing quite like the sound of a wolf pack howling back at you and coming into your calls!

Mountain Lion

Mountain lion hunts are one of the most action packed hunts you will find in the lower 48! Hunt lions with hounds and your hunt starts when most people think about going to bed to ensure we find the right lion track to ensure a quality cat. The extremely well trained hounds will not finish the hunt until a lion is looking back at them from high above in the limbs of a big Idaho pine tree. The hunt area affords hunters the ability to purchase TWO mountain lion tags due to the very healthy amount of lions in the vicinity. In order to find mountain lion tracks we utilize a combo of 4×4 vehicles, and snowmobiles so we can traverse through the ample snow along mountainside. As soon as the hounds are released on a track you will hear what we like to call “mountain music” coming from deep inside each one of the excited hounds, they live for the chase! Be sure to give them a gentle pat after the end of the hunt they live for the appreciation that can only come from their human companions.
